Indian Roads Congress (IRC) is the Apex Body of Highway Engineers in the country. The IRC was set up in December, 1934 on the recommendations of the Indian Road Development Committee best known as Jayakar Committee set up by the Govt. of India with the objective of Road Development in India.

IRC is not for profit, a prestigious National Forum of Highway Professionals under the aegis of Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways committed to promote the excellence in highway sector. Applications are invited from candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC to fill up following "backlog vacancies" in compliance to Inspection Report of CAG, at IRC Headquarters, New Delhi on Regular basis (Pay/Allowances & other general terms as per Central Govt. Assistant Director (Tech)

Essential: Graduation Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in construction /maintenance of machinery/quality control.



Assistant (Accounts)

Essential: Graduation Degree or equivalent.
Desirable: Knowledge of Cash, Accounts, Budget work and basic knowledge in computer.



Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Essential: Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent and Minimum typing speed 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on computer.
Desirable: Basic knowledge in computer.



Multi - Tasking Staff (MTS)

Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent.


Selection procedure: Selection will be made from amongst the shortlisted eligible candidates through written test for the post at S No. 1, 2 & 3 and also typing (English or Hindi) test (10 minutes passage) for the post at S No. 3 on computer followed by interview. The merit list of successful candidates will be prepared on the basis of written test & interview. The written exam will consist of objective type - multiple choice questions in 3 sections (subject specific; general awareness & basic knowledge of English each 20 questions of equal marks} with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The duration of examination will be one hour.
